Low Memory Crash[edit]
The game executable has a hard coded memory limit of 1 GB, with large maps this can causes poor performance and crashes. As most systems have significantly more RAM in them, it is possible to expand that limit to utilize all available memory.
Download this executable and replace the RailRoads.exe file in the installation folder.

Sid Meier's Railroads! has many innovations compared to previous games from this franchise. Here users will more actively compete with each other due to the reduced size of the maps..
You will need to develop your own railway systems and earn in-game currency. Hills, mountains, rivers and other features of the landscape can greatly affect the process. Sometimes you will need to build a longer road to get around the mountain, design a bridge over the river, and make other structures to align the paths. The number of minor objects and obstacles has not decreased, although the areas have become compressed.
By supporting an entire industry, sometimes you can get the opportunity to participate in auctions. The participant who pays the highest cost for a specific study is entitled to use the item for ten years. Such items can greatly improve the economy. The opponent's plans can be thwarted by imposing a road and blocking his path. Road paving is fully automated and simplified compared to previous parts.
It's easy to learn the gameplay and tricks here, but it's hard to master. Gamers need to manage every train and cargo. Profit depends on the rarity of the material transported by the locomotives. As you progress through, you gain access to the best valuable resources. Also, during business, you can meet with robbers-barons and clever tricks of other entrepreneurs.
