Declicker

The Declicker enhancement allows audio files to have noises such as clicks or crackle removed.

Playing them through my declicker setup was surprising. All were absolutely listenable and quiet, though I did toss a few with exceptionally deep gouges that caused skips. In relative terms, I'd say most sounded equivalent to your average 'VG+' condition side.

The following setting options are available in the Declicker area:

Virtos DeClicker software removes impulsive noise like clicks or spikes that might be generated by dirt and vinyl surface scratches, digital switching, drop-outs or clipping. Virtos DeClicker allows automatic removal of clicks and crackle without corruption of the source material and removes clicks with duration up to 3ms (300 samples at 96kHz. An uncompromising plug-in solution for audio post-production which includes the award-winning Sonnox Restore suite - DeClicker, DeBuzzer and DeNoiser. Fast and effective removal of clicks, pops, buzzes and background noise from a variety of recorded audio; from music to games, TV and film post production. De-Clicker can specify a number of times to repeat treatment, and a maximum click length in steps, which need no explanation. De-Clicker can also just make labels around clicks without repairing them. This information may be useful, for instance, if you want to find dB threshold setting just low enough to detect certain of the clicks. Steinberg Declicker Plugin Vst Download Free. The new Repair Assistant finds potential problems like clicks and pops, noise, and clipping, then suggests different solutions, letting you hear examples of your audio with each. Once you find a solution you like, it automatically repairs the tracks and even shows you what modules and settings it used.

Declicker
Removes interfering noises such as clicks, which can be caused by scratches on records.
Detection Threshold
Indicates how strong interfering noises must be to be recognized and filtered out.
Maximum Length
Indicates the maximum length of time for which an interfering noise is to be filtered.
High Quality
Offers higher filtering quality. However, this setting is very processor-intensive.

The following setting options are available in the Decrackle area:
Declicker
Decrackle
Removes interfering noises such as crackle, which can be caused by dust or needle sounds from the audio file.
Detection Threshold
Indicates how strong interfering noises must be to be recognized and filtered out.
Reduction Level
Specifies the extent to which interfering noises are to be filtered out.
Automatic Restoration
Automatically sets the optimum values for both the Declicker and the Decrackle areas. Select the check boxes for the areas to be adjusted as well as the Automatic Restoration check box.

Declicker

I guess you know by now that if you're stuck with the passion for the vinyl sound and vinyl collecting, you must be well-prepared as this hobby is a rather costly one if 'done the way masters say'. From expensive rare vinyls to costly gear and maintenance, the vinyl world is not a cheap, 'in-a-box' one. Nevertheless, the passionate collectors say that there can't be any comparison between the sound of vinyls played on serious gear and any other sounds, even coming from high-def digital sources such as SACD or DVD-Audio...

Now, from the creators of the laser turntable here comes a new piece of tech meant for the arsenal or the vinyl enthusiasts, the ELP Declicker. This device does nothing different from what complex and expensive filters do when run in DAW applications: removes the clicks and pops from the vinyl recordings.

The cool thing about the Declicker is that it operates in real time mode and... you do not need a computer and computer science at all: you just plug the main outs of your turntable in the ELP Declicker and from here to the amplifier, the usual everyday way. The Declicker will operate in both analog and digital mode as it will also allow you to process the analog audio sound and output it in CD or MP3 formats, with user-selectable 44.1 or 88.2kHz sample rate.

The ELP Declicker can also be bypassed for your vinyls in perfect condition; it has been designed to work with 33 and 45 RPM discs and not with the 78 ones. You can use it for 78 RPM discs but the effect will not be as spectacular as in the first two cases.

The intensity of the click and pop removing action is continuously user-selectable; the ELP Declicker will be one valuable asset fit for everybody - there are no high technical training requirements to operate it: just place it near your turntable, make the right connections and tweak it according to how deteriorated is the disc you're playing. The ELP Declicker will drain around $2,500 from your funds, but if you call yourself a vinyl fan, the Declicker is one thing to own.

Some ELP official specs:

-Real-time noise reduction of clicks and crackle (impulse noise), but not hiss (broadband noise).-No other hardware is required. Not even a computer.-Click/crackle sensitivity is continuously variable using a single rotary control. When the sensitivity is set to 'minimum' there will be minimum noise reduction and negligible effect on the signal.-Bypass allows the user to leave the ELP declicker in the signal path with no noise reduction.-Bypass is easily switched on and off with a front-panel control.-Bypass operates in two modes:-Analog Mode: Analog output is connected directly to the analog input with no AD-DA conversion. There will be an audible 'Glitch' when switching Bypass on or off in this mode.-Glitch-Free mode: The bypass is implemented by switching off the de-click process. The signal continues to pass through analog-digital-analog, but no processing is performed. There is no glitch when switching bypass on or off in this mode.-Analog RCA stereo inputs connect directly to phono preamplifier or ELP ELT-10 outputs-Analog RCA stereo outputs connect directly to line-level preamp or integrated amplifier-Digital S/PDIF coax or optical (TOSLINK) outputs connect directly to computer or DAT-Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz or 88.2 kHz, user selectable-Word length: 24-bit-Size: Approx. 220 x 44 x 150 mm (8.7 x 1.7 x 5.9 inches)-Declicker 1-Year Warranty:

Note #1: The ELP declicker is optimized for reducing the noise on modern 33 and 45 RPM records, but not for 78 RPM records. It will still work well with 78 RPM records, but it will not remove the clicks and crackle noise as aggressively. This design choice was made to minimize or eliminate any distortion to the original signal.Note #2: The declicker will remove clicks and pops, but will not remove hiss noise.
