Touhou: Mountain of Faith was originally released in 2007, and it is something of a soft Touhou game series reboot that stars only Reimu and Marisa as playable characters. Undefined Fantastic Object released in 2009 originally and features Sanae as a playable character alongside Reimu and Marisa. One day, a UFO is spotted in the sky during early spring, and the player character goes off to investigate it. The main mechanic of this game revolves around UFO pieces that drop from defeated enemies, which can have different effects depending on the color.
